On May 10th, 2010, in the premises of Bulyard shipbuilding Industry EAD, an official naming and christening ceremony of ship NB 458 took place. She was given the name of KARVUNA and was christened by Mrs. Snezhana Hristova member of the Supervisory board of Industrial Holding Bulgaria. The ship is 21 100 DWT bulk carrier and she is the 8th under pr. 640 of the former Shipbuilding Institute. The owner of m/v Karvuna is Karvuna Ltd. a subsidiary of Industrial Holding Bulgaria. 

The ceremony was attended by political members. The event was honoured by Mr. Dancho SimeonovVarna Regional Governor, the newly elected Chairman of Varna City Council, Mr. Nikolay Apostolov as well as Mr. Kiril Yordanov – Mayor of Varna city.
